RowReady ("the App") is built so that your training stays yours. This policy explains exactly what leaves your device and what does not.
The App records workout metrics from your Concept2 PM5 rowing machine, including distance, time, pace, stroke rate, heart rate, and calories. This data is stored locally on your device only. We do not upload, transmit, or share your workout data with anyone. There is no account and no server holding your rows.
We use Sentry to collect anonymous crash reports so we can fix problems we would otherwise never hear about. A crash report contains the app version, your device model and iOS version, a stack trace, and recent app events — including Bluetooth connection log lines, which are what make connection problems diagnosable.
Crash reports do not include your workout data, and we have disabled the collection of IP addresses. Reports are not linked to you and are not used for tracking.
If you tap Settings › Report a Bug, your email app opens with a message already written, containing the app version, your iOS version, whether a monitor was connected, and recent Bluetooth log lines. Nothing is sent unless you send it — you can read and edit it first, or not send it at all.
We do not collect usage analytics. We do not know which screens you visit, how often you open the App, or how much you row.
The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to connect to your Concept2 PM5 performance monitor. Bluetooth is used solely to receive real-time workout data from the machine. No data is transmitted to the machine.
Workout data is stored in a database on your device, protected by iOS's built-in on-device encryption while your device is locked. You can delete everything at any time from Settings › Clear All Data. If you uninstall the App, all local data is permanently deleted with it — so export first from Settings › Export Data if you want to keep it.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
